Amir Sagharichi-Raha is an Iranian-German poet, writer, and translator whose works intertwine the depth of Persian literature with the challenges of the modern world. His texts are marked by themes of exile, identity, resistance, and the longing for freedom. Through his unique literary expressions, he has established himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary Persian and international literature.



Biographical Background


Born in Tehran, Amir Sagharichi-Raha earned a master’s degree in Public Management in Iran before continuing his studies in Cultural Studies at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. Due to his critical stance against the Iranian regime, he was forced into exile, where he continues his literary endeavors.



International Collaborations & Events


Amir Sagharichi-Raha collaborates with various international literary and cultural institutions. One of his key partnerships is with the Carinthian Writers’ Association, established in 1969 and based in Klagenfurt, Austria. The association is dedicated to supporting literary talents, fostering international exchange among writers, and publishing literary works.


He frequently participates in readings, literary matinees, and conferences. At these events, he presents his works in his native Farsi, while translations into German and English are also featured. One of his recent literary matinees, held under the theme "The Distant Place", explored the concepts of homeland and exile.



Music & Journalism



Beyond literature, Amir Sagharichi-Raha has also worked as a lyricist, with several of his compositions performed by musicians. He has collaborated with various exile media outlets, including the magazine Tooshe, edited by Saayeh Saeedi Sirjani, the daughter of the assassinated writer Ali Akbar Saeedi Sirjani.
